After Dark

Pallets

I like night photography. The darkness changes everything. What light there is comes from different directions from the day, and has completely different qualities. The light you get from long exposures alienates the look of things even more. One of the first accessories I got for my camera was a cable release, and I updated my tripod a few weeks ago. The tripod or some other way to keep your camera steady is a must-have but you can get away without the cable release by using the self timer function on your camera. To reduce camera shake even further, I always use mirror lock-up as well as activating the long exposure noise reduction.
